ASHRAE BC is proud to welcome ASHRAE Society President Ginger Scoggins, to our February Meeting. The theme signals ASHRAE’s advocacy of integrated solutions for addressing the affects of the climate crisis through meaningful building decarbonization strategies. We are living in a climate emergency, our desire to be more comfortable has brought us to a place where we need to make uncomfortable decisions. We can accept the challenge of our day regarding the impact of our buildings on the climate crisis by equipping our members with the knowledge they need to design and renovate to address the greenhouse emissions of our industry.
Ginger Scoggins P.E. Fellow ASHRAE is ASHRAE’s President for 2023-24 term. She is the recipient of the Exceptional and Distinguished service awards. She chaired the New Headquarters Ad Hoc committee, leading to the Society’s new $20 million fully net-zero-energy renovation project. Scoggins has over 35 years as a mechanical engineer and is a certified commissioning agent and energy manager. She is president and owner of Engineered Designs in Cary N.C. a full service consulting firm. Her focus is on designing high performance buildings in a wide variety of markets.
