ASHRAE BC is proud to welcome Tyler Bryant to our March 16th Meeting. Mr. Bryant is a strategic advisor at Fortis BC where he helps the company build towards a low-carbon future.
About the presentation: As part of its Climate Change Accountability Act, British Columbia (BC) has committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to 80% below 2007 levels by 2050. The pathway to meeting the 2050 goal is definable but a challenge.
In 2018, FortisBC Energy Inc. (FortisBC) developed its Clean Growth Pathway to 2050, which outlined actions the company would take to help British Columbia (BC) achieve its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets. The Clean Growth Pathway takes a diversified approach to GHG reduction by using BC’s electricity and gas infrastructure. FortisBC will have a key role in leading the transition to lower carbon energy. As a regulated utility, FortisBC is accountable to the BC Utilities Commission and obligated to serve the interests of over 1 million homes and businesses across BC.
Please note that all proceeds from the March 2022 meeting will be donated to ASHRAE Research
Please register for the meeting using the ASHRAE BC Chapter’s web portal, which makes it simple for you to register and prepay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard).
